Introduction
Come and meet with the admissions tutor for the School of Chemistry at the University of Birmingham who will take you on a tour of the School and talk frankly about Chemistry at University, the various course options (not just at Birmingham), the career paths that you can follow with a Chemistry degree and importantly, how to get a place on a course in the first place. Bring lots of questions : what are the admissions tutors looking for in a personal statement? What happens if you don't get your grades? How do you impress in an interview....... and anything else!
The event is followed by a free Sixth Form Lecture at the University: "Molecules of Murder" given by Dr John Emsley, University of Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity and not to be missed!
This event is suitable for students aged 16-18
