His ground-breaking work in heart valve research, congenital heart diseases, and minimally invasive cardiovascular interventions has literally saved lives. The Cardiovascular Fluid Mechanics Lab that he established at George Tech tests every prosthetic heart valve used in the US. Known as the "King of Hearts" for his innovative approaches in the cardiovascular field, Dr Yoganathan has an international reputation from colleagues, industry collaborators, and practitioners alike.
