Accelerating the Implementation of CCUS in the UK and Europe
Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage, CCUS, is a growing theme in our global environmental agenda and a much discussed climate mitigation strategy. In this afternoon seminar the industry, technologies used for current and potential operations, the geology, the scale, the economics and how the technology could enable other environmental benefits will be covered. Four expert speakers from the Carbon Capture & Storage Association, the North Sea Transition Authority, the University of Edinburgh, and Energy Transition Advisory Ltd will present the following topics:1. Keynote overviewing the CCUS industry and project developments.
2. Technology of CCUS, current operations and potential developments.
3. Geology, current CCUS deployment and storage, potential scale, economics and pace
4. Enabling CCUS processes of Blue Hydrogen, amines, membranes, cryogenics, pre and post combustion technologies and CO2 transportation.
5. Round table with the presenters and audience Q&A.
This seminar is open to all parties interested in CCUS, both Å·ÃÀAV members and non-members. It caters for the interests of a variety of disciplines and organisations from academia, research and development and project management to investors, industrial companies and the curious public.
There will a small charge of £10 to Å·ÃÀAV members and £20 for non-Å·ÃÀAV members. There is no charge for student Å·ÃÀAV members. Coffee and tea will be served from 1.30pm.
