Introduction
* Aim: 
To introduce and bring a range of opportunities from internal and external groups and/or organisations.
To explore and utilise current and new pathways from different education and research perspectives and journeys. 
To facilitate diverse staff and students for networking and discussion that can lead to future interdisciplinary collaboration.

* Time: 
Tuesday 27th February 2024, 14:00pm - 17:00pm

Room 2.09 - Room 2.10 Aston Business School (ABS 2.09 - 2.10), Aston University, Birmingham B4 7ET, UK

* Participant: 
All students and staff with different backgrounds and/or career levels at the UK Institutions.

* Concept:
A. OPENING & INTRODUCTION: 14:00pm - 14:20pm
- Pre-networking (with refreshments)
- Introduction about the Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB) and International Younger Chemists Network (IYCN) from Dr. Tien Thuy Quach - Vice-Chair of IYCN 2023-2024.

B. PANEL SHARING: 14:20pm - 15:20pm
Several topics under the theme "CATALYZING DIVERSITY IN SCIENCE" are shared by the Panelists to encourage participants to apply current and new pathways throughout their education and research journey. The Panel details will be updated and selected topics include: #Teaching & Assessment, #Research & Development, #Diversity & Inclusion, #Professional Organisation, and #Other opportunities.

During this break, participants can have informal chat with other colleagues. Besides, participants can view and share feedback for a range of IUPAC posters for the sustainability goals. Particularly, the IUPAC task groups have been working together to raise awareness about plastic waste and examine new ideas to protect the environment, and further potential actions can be discussed and progressed.

C. PAIR/GROUP DISCUSSION: 15:30pm - 16:30pm
Participants discuss (in pairs or groups) about the recent barriers and prospects for catalyzing diversity in science, particularly promoting the good practice of education and research at local, national, and international scales. The specific formats will be applied during the pair/group discussion.

D. CLOSING & POST-NETWORKING: 16:30pm - 17:00pm
- Closing & Group photos (optional)
- Post-networking (with refreshments)

NOTE: Refershments will take place at MBS lounge (ground floor).
