Spin Up Science Ltd was incorporated in 2018 to champion entrepreneurial scientists, inspire future innovators and establish ecosystems for technology commercialisation.
From 2016, she lead a research program taking a biotechnology, HydRegen, from proof-of-concept results to commercial offering as a spinout in 2021. The technology simplifies use of biocatalysis in chemical manufacturing, allowing isolated enzymes to be handled in the same was as supported metal catalysts for hydrogenation reactions.

With a background as an intrapreneur at BMW and Land Rover, during the last 20 years Richard has been taking lab discoveries and IP-backed innovations on to real-world impact and commercial success.
