This course covers all the essential theory of gas chromatography and GC-MS, along with hands-on practicals in the laboratory.
This course has been approved by the Å·ÃÀAV for purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
This 5-day course teaches the essential theory and then using this knowledge to create methods, perform injections and change parameters to see the effects.
The course discusses why maintenance is required and how to spot when maintenance is needed, along with practicals to carry out maintenance on each of the components of both a GC and a GC-MS system.
The course teaches strategies for troubleshooting an GC or GC-MS instrument and learning what problems can occur, with real problem solving on the instruments and data analysis software.
The course combines classroom-based presentations covering the essential theory, then putting the knowledge into practice in the laboratory with hands-on exercises on instrument set-up, method development, maintenance and troubleshooting. The course has 50% of the time spent in the laboratory using the instrumentation.
The training is universal, and is applicable to all makes and models of instrumentation.
Duration: 5 days
Scheduled course price: £2,500 + VAT per delegate.
