Beer, otherwise known as the 'Drink of England', has been produced in Faversham for over 850 years and the Shepherd Neame Brewery, set in the heart of this historic market town, is open to visitors who wish to discover more about this proudly independent family company and its wide range of award winning beers.
From the Visitor Centre, set in a beautifully-restored medieval hall house, you can join an award-winning guided tour and go behind the scenes at this busy working brewery to discover how history and heritage are combined with modern technology to produce a range of Kentish Ales and speciality lagers.
During this visit you will have an exclusive 80-minute tour of the brewery, a fascinating tutored and tasting session and an ale supper of your choice served in the Visitor Centre bar. Of course, there's also time for a pint or two with your meal! Finally, visit the Brewery Shop and pick up a souvenir, gift or some beer! The whole visit, including the ale supper will start at 7pm, takes 3 - 3½ hours and should finish no later than 10.30pm.
