Imperial Taster Day

23 June 2011, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
This full day at Imperial College London introduces ChemNet members to what it is like to be an Undergraduate in the Chemistry Department. The morning starts with a hands-on experience in the lab as we will ask you conduct a 1st year Undergraduate practical either in pairs or on your own. Lunch time will be an excellent opportunity to ask current students what it is like to study chemistry at Imperial as they will be your mentors for the day! After lunch you will then be taken on a tour of the Department, then have a chat with the Admissions tutor, and a talk by your mentors. This day concludes with a lecture from one of the top Academics from the Department who will talk about their current research, thus providing you with a taster for what it feels like to be an Undergraduate in the Department. For the keen and enthusiastic of you, the Mentors will be available after the lecture for an optional tour of the campus.
