Registration deadline extended to 7th November!
All chemists working in, or undertaking research in, the energy field and in the early stages of their careers are invited to attend the 5th Early Career Energy Sector Chemists Symposium at The Å·ÃÀAV, Burlington House, London, W1J 0BA on 23rd Nov, from 10:00 to 16:00.​
​This event is hosted by the Å·ÃÀAV Energy Sector Interest Group with additional support from the Å·ÃÀAV Environmental, Sustainability and Energy Division.
Younger members from academia and industry are invited to submit abstracts for a competition to be held during this event: the best abstracts submitted before the event, as judged by an Energy Sector Technical Review Committee, will be invited to give a short elevator pitch presentation and present their poster at the Symposium.
Prizes will be awarded for the best presentations/posters.
For Å·ÃÀAV members the prizes will consist of a 1st Prize, (£250), a 2nd Prize, (£100), and 3 x 3rd Prizes of £50 each.
Prizes offered by the Fuel and Energy Research Forum will also be awarding up to 3 x £100 prizes for the best Biomass and Waste presentations/posters.
​The event will be free to attend (up to a limit of 50 attendees) and reasonable travel expenses (eg. national rail travel or similar) will be reimbursed.
​Abstract Guidlines and Submission:
​Abstracts must be no longer than 500 words in length in Arial, font size 11pt and must fit on one side of A4 paper.
​To aid the committee in deciding on a schedule, clearly indicate in your during submission whether you would like your abstract to be considered for contributing a flash presentation alongside a poster.
