Everyone is welcome to join as York U will host its first-ever Diversity in Chemistry Breakfast that will take place on February 12, 2020 from 8:30-10:30 am in conjunction with the IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast event! At our breakfast, we will facilitate an informal “chalk-talk” discussion about equity, diversity and inclusion in order to engage faculty, post-docs, graduate and undergraduate students. The breakfast will be the inaugural meeting of York U’s Diversity in Chemistry Group and our goal is to foster an enthusiasm from attendees to further participate in the group. In collaboration with the Canadian Women in Chemistry (CWIC) Network, the goal of our group will be to support an inclusive chemistry community at York U by hosting speakers, networking events and participate in the annual Leaders Overcoming Gender Inequality in Chemistry (LOGIC) retreat that takes place along with the Canadian Chemistry Conference.
