Our friend and colleague Peter Knowles will turn 60 in March 2020.
Peter is perhaps best known for his work on full configuration interaction, multi-reference methods, and coupled cluster theory; and is also very well-known through his decades of work on the Molpro quantum chemistry package. We plan to honour Peter’s outstanding contributions to theoretical chemistry with a two-day meeting in Cardiff.
We have an exciting line-up of 23 invited speakers, promising a stimulating two days of world-class science.
The meeting will take place at Cardiff University, Cardiff, UK on Monday and Tuesday 6th and 7th April 2020. Although the formal programme will start on Monday, there will be a reception on the 5th April for anyone who plans to travel to Cardiff on Sunday. We will hold a conference dinner in honour of Peter on Tuesday evening.
The conference fee is £145 and includes the Welcome Reception, coffee breaks, lunch on both days, food and drinks at a poster session on Monday night, and the conference dinner. We additionally have funding available on a "first-come, first-served" basis that provides reduced price registration for a limited number of PhD students. Accommodation should be booked separately, and a list of recommended hotels close to the meeting venue is available.Your confirmation email after registration will contain further information including discount codes for local hotels.
