This workshop aims to help individuals better understand the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and know how to communicate with people they are concerned about. This is not a counselling course, but provides basic information about how to manage important first conversations, provides some practical skills and where to point people to relevant sources of professional help. It also offers tips on stress management and staying well. We know that understanding more about our own mental health enables us to help and support others much easier.
This workshop, which is supported by the ŷAV’s Chemists’ Community Fund, is open to all ŷAV members who have an interest in the subject or would like to have a better understanding of mental health and wellbeing.
