The Å·ÃÀAV has partnered with the Chemical Engineering & Process Development Division of the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), a constituent of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India, in organizing the 1st National Chemical Reaction Engineering Symposium on December 17-18, 2018 at NCL, Pune.
Over last few decades NCL has remained at the forefront of Reaction Engineering related basic as well as applied research in India. NCL has successfully scaled up several processes developed in-house and transferred knowhow to the chemical industry. Several important contributions in the field of Chemical Engineering Science have had their roots in the work carried out in this Division.

This symposium is expected to develop a formal platform for scientifically enriching discussions on Chemical Reaction Engineering in the country. The symposium aims at exploring recent developments and trends in chemical reaction engineering. It will also provide an excellent opportunity for young researchers and post-graduate students to interact with eminent researchers working in the frontier areas of chemical engineering science and process technology.
The symposium will have 6 sessions grouped under the following areas:
• Chemical reaction engineering with focus on energy
• Biochemical Reaction Engineering
• Process development
• Catalytic reactions and catalytic reactor engineering
• Mathematical modeling in reaction engineering and integrated reactors
• Directions in chemical engineering education, research and industry
All the contributions in these sessions are by invitation and will be delivered by eminent researchers from academia and industry. Additionally, the symposium will have two poster sessions wherein researchers can present their latest work.
