The conference is timed to discuss next steps for implementing the Accelerated Access Review - due to report in the summer - which will look at policy and regulatory priorities for speeding up the development and adoption of innovative medicines and medical technology.
Sessions will also assess policy strategy for the sector, including funding initiatives for SME and academic-led projects with commercial potential, such as the Biomedical Catalyst Funding and the recently launched Health North programme, aimed at developing regional healthcare innovations.
