This meeting was organised by the Dalton Division of the Å·ÃÀAV and supported by the ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry.
Main group chemistry has undergone a renaissance in recent years. This important field of chemistry continues to exert a broad impact across many disciplines of science. This meeting brought together a group of experts from around the world to take a fresh look at this field, in particular at the interface with transition metal chemistry and materials.
In keeping with the international flavour of the topic, this Dalton Discussion meeting was held in the United States, on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley. Over 100 delegates attended the discussion meeting who were from 10 different countries.
