The Essex Fire Museum is located at the rear of Grays Fire station and was officially opened on the 14th June 2007. On display is a selection of fire appliances from hand drawn pumps to more modern apparatus. The museum holds a good selection of artefacts and documents relating to the wartime activities of the fire service. The visit will include a guided tour, tea and biscuits and will last approximately 1 1/2hours plus more time to browse if required. A donation of £2.00 minimum will go towards the upkeep of the museum.
