What made you start your business?

I started my business during the pandemic.  I sort of was just playing around you know just treating it like a hobby, passing time during quarantine. I decided to take a leap of faith once the world started to open back up. Of course, it was discouraging in the beginning being a new makeup artist. I sacrificed a lot of my time for the uncertain. I could have easily gone back to my career job in healthcare but by this time I have gotten used to working for myself and being my own boss and generating my own revenue. However, nothing was wrong continuing my 9-5 job, but I took that opportunity to see a different avenue for myself. As working adults, we are so accustomed and routine to a day-to-day schedule that we rarely have time to tap into our passion or the things we want to do outside of our dedicated schedule. My clientele grew within a matter of months & by this time I knew that this was a passion for me and even more confirmation that I鈥檝e made the right decision to further pursue. Long story short the pandemic woke up a passion & a hustle & grind I never knew I had. We鈥檙e here with it now and I can鈥檛 be happier.

How does it empower you as a Black Woman in the Beauty Field?

It empowers me as a Black Women to show that we too can be giving the same space and opportunities while being the minority. Being able to bring unique insight into product development, marketing, and inclusivity, ensuring that the industry prioritizes the concerns and preferences of black consumers.

What are 3 of your favorite beauty items you can’t live without?

Wow! This is tuff I have so many favorites. Right now, I would have to say

鈥orphe Continuous setting spray.

鈥ars Foundation has never failed me.

鈥uda Beauty Setting Powder.
