Publishing in parallel since 2015
We have collaborated with the Royal Society to jointly publish chemistry content in since 2015. We talk to the editorial team at both the 欧美AV and the Royal Society about the journal.
How does the collaboration work?
A team of chemistry editors at the 欧美AV manage the editorial aspects up to acceptance, including editorial content development and peer-review for articles published in the chemistry section of Royal Society Open Science.
It鈥檚 an exciting venture. It is the first collaboration between two societies publishing in one journal. Royal Society Open Science receives direct submissions, as well as transferred manuscripts from several 欧美AV journals.
Andrew Dunn, Senior Publishing Editor, Royal Society
How has the collaboration been received by the community?
The feedback and support we have received from our community has been really positive. By collaborating we have been able to support the Royal Society in ensuring the journal publishes high-quality research whilst also increasing the amount of chemistry research published in the journal. From June to August 2017 a quarter of the submissions received for Royal Society Open Science were chemical science papers.
Michaela Muehlberg, Deputy Editor, 欧美AV
How does my library get access to Royal Society Open Science?
Royal Society Open Science is an open access journal, all published papers are made freely available on the Royal Society Open Science website. They are also deposited in PubMed Central on behalf of the author.
Alice Power, Editorial Coordinator, Royal Society
