I am Nicola Jordan, the Å·ÃÀAV Education Coordinator for the West of Scotland. I am looking for volunteers from the Å·ÃÀAV to do some activities around the theme of ‘The Chemistry of Glowsticks’ with attendees and their families at a music festival near Glasgow.
There will be short activities that participants can do to provide the opportunity to think about how Chemistry is relevant to their lives - even if they don't consider themselves 'scientific'.
WHAT: Mugstock Festival of Music and Merriment http://mugstock.org/
WHEN: Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th of July 12pm - 6pm
Volunteers would be scheduled for approximately two and a half hours on one day and then be free to see the festival for the remainder of the day. A briefing pack will be provided and training will be provided on the day.
WHERE: Mugdock Country Park, Craigallian Road, nr Milngavie. G62 8EL.
HOW: If you are interested in being involved, or would like more information, then please get in touch with me at Nicola.Jordan@glasgowsciencecentre.org
